About Me

Hi, I am Maya K. Wright, MBA, PMP
A dynamic leader, mentor, and strategist with a passion for release management, project leadership, and education advocacy. Originally from Memphis, TN, I bring a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and people-centric leadership to every role I undertake. My diverse background spans industrial technology, software development, qualification systems engineering, and education, making me a versatile problem-solver with a keen eye for process optimization and stakeholder collaboration.
Currently, I serve as a Release Manager with a project management professional (PMP) certification, where I oversee software deployments, ensuring smooth transitions, risk mitigation, and operational efficiency. I specialize in change management, strategic planning, conflict resolution, and cross-functional team coordination, driving successful project outcomes in high-stakes environments.
I hold an MBA in Business Administration from Faulkner University and a B.S. in Industrial Technology from Jackson State University. Additionally, as a certified educator, I have leveraged my expertise to mentor and inspire future leaders, reinforcing my commitment to education, coaching, and community empowerment.
Beyond my corporate work, I am deeply engaged in motivational speaking, life coaching, mentoring, and advising. I founded the No Excuses Initiative, a nonprofit dedicated to mentoring high school students, facilitating HBCU tours, and providing essential resources like scholarships and college supplies to first-year students. My advocacy for education and professional development continues to shape my efforts in empowering individuals to reach their full potential.
I am also the author of the Soulfully Wright Cookbook for Beginners, a heartfelt culinary guide that blends my love for food, culture, and tradition, making cooking accessible and enjoyable for all. I also have authored Soulfully Wright in Health Renal in dedication of my late husband, Caleb A. Wright to advocate for his battle with End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD).
With a track record of inspiring change, fostering growth, and driving impactful results, I thrive in environments that require strategic decision-making, adaptability, and collaboration. I am passionate about empowering others, bridging gaps in education and career development, and leaving a lasting legacy of success.
